IPL Permanent Hair Reduction:
IPL provides fast and effective hair reduction. The treatment works by flashing light over the skin in intense bursts. The light is absorbed by the coloured hairs (which must be darker than the skin for the treatment to work) and the light is converted to heat inside the hair. When we heat the hairs to the right temperature, it destroys the cells at the root of the follicle which grow the hair.
With repeated treatments, the follicles eventually lose their ability to produce a hair, leaving you with silky smooth skin.
We normally recommend a course of 6-10 treatments, depending on your hair type and colour. With each treatment performed, your hair growth becomes thinner, lighter and finer until the follicles can no longer produce a hair, or can only produce a fine “baby” hair.
